SOFT SUGAR COOKIES
1 1/4 cups butter
1 cup confectionary sugar
3 eggs
3 teaspoon vanilla
3 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon baking powder
instruction:
In a large mixing bowl,cream butter & sugars together with electric mixer.
Add eggs one at the tim.Beat until fluffy & smooth.
Add vanilla
Sift dry ingredients.add gradually to creamed mixture.Place in plastic bag and pat into a square.Chill dough 2 hours or over night.
As soon as dough can be worked,roll out onto a floured board measuring dough is between 1/8 inc to 1/4 inc thick.Cut into shapes.Place on parchment lined baking sheets.Chill 15 minutes before baking.Bake at 350 degrees 8-9 minutes.Leave on baking sheet 5 minutes hen transfer to cooling racks.They soft so handle carefully.when cool frost with QUICK BUTTERCREAM ICING...
